Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom says his administration will inject 1(one) billion naira into the State CARES programme to enable its smooth operation in the state.

The Governor stated this when he received the NG-CARES Advocacy team at the government House Uyo on Thursday, 12 May 2022. Udom appealed to the federal team to support the state in the implementation of the programme.

In her remarks, leader of the Advocacy team to the state, Dr Martina Nwordu, commended the state government for supporting the state CARES programme. She appealed for strict adherence to the NG-CARES Funds Release Policy.

Also speaking, the National Coordinator NG-CARES, Dr Abdulkarim Obaje, advised the state to inject more funds to get more from the NG CARES purse.
